The Build

Teal opals and gold, anchored by a single opal teardrop.

The Draw

I designed this for a client who gave me three things about herself that she wanted to convey through this piece. From there, she gave me creative freedom and didn't see the final piece until it arrived.

• Egyptian Pride: Teal is the color she connects most with her heritage. Teal and turquoise can be seen throughout Egyptian history and culture.

• Playfulness: Opal naturally has what gemologists call play of color. A simple change of light or angle and opal begins to flash fun, bright new colors. I wanted it to be a reminder not to forget to have fun.

• Presence: The combination of teal opals and gold together is what completed this piece and solidified it as a statement piece

• Golden/Orange opal teardrop

• Accented with PVD gold-plated discs and accent beads

• 14k gold-filled clasp and jump rings
